Oatmeal chocolate porridge

Oatmeal porridge is a common breakfast dish in Brazil, my homeland. While for some it’s considered children’s food, I, personally, love to eat some porridge in the morning: it takes less than 10 minutes to be ready.

In order to have it cooked in such a short time it’s necessary to let it soaking in warm water overnight (half a cup for 3 to 5 tablespoons of cereal), and that’s it!

3 tablespoons of oatmeal
2 tablespoons of spelt
1 tablespoon of vegan dark chocolate cream
1 cup of vegetable milk
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1 banana
Orange flavoured sugar (optional)

Put the cereal, sugar, chocolate cream and vegetable milk in a little pan and mix it well. Bring it to a boil, always mixing it.

When it’s thick, put it on a plate and cover it with some banana slices. if you want you can sprinkle a bit of orange flavour sugar on top of everything.
